Little Man's birthday isn't until July 18, but we had his party last night. ET's leaving today for a 2-week stint at Camp Ozarks and the day he gets back Jacob's leaving for a week long dude ranch trail-ride. So, last night we had a small gathering at Cenote and Venus' to celebrate Little Man's 8th birthday. The kids swam and we played pool games like Marco Polo and Sharks and Minnows.
We ordered pizza from Campisi's: Salami and Cheese for the kids and Garlic, Jalapeño and extra Cheese for the adults. Y-U-M. Instead of a cake, Little Man had asked for a "Cookie Cake" from Mrs. Fields. Which is basically a gigantic chocolate-chip cookie with icing on it, as you can see in the photo above. And, of course, we had to cap the evening off by watching "Indiana Jones and the Temple of Doom". The kids like this one best because it has the little boy, Shortie, in it.
