In their season opener at SMU’s Ford Field, the Highland Park Scots battled the top-ranked Everman Bulldogs for 4-A supremacy before 13,000 fans. In an electrifying contest, HP’s quarterback Jake Howeth scored with a minute left to give the Scots a 27-21 victory.
