AFB has an Eye on Fashion

The Center on Vision Loss and the American Foundation for the Blind (AFB) will present Artists with a Vision on September 21, at the Samuel Lynne Galleries to raise awareness and funds to sustain the center’s operations and growth.

Last Thursday, AFB held a Kickoff party at TOOTSIES.  Guests chatted and mingled before AFB Development Director Abi Erickson wrangled guests to take their seats where we were delighted, informed, and inspired by stories of living with vision impairments from Holly McKnight. 

In true TOOTSIES philanthropic fashion, 15% of the sales this evening were donated to the organization.

"Artists With a Vision" will be a cocktail reception and exhibit held at the Samuel Lynne Galleries on September 21 and will showcase works by three internationally acclaimed blind artists.

One of those artists, John Brambitt, was in attendance (see photo above) at the event but the true rock stars of the night were the guide dogs who stayed close to their owners sides but were very curious about what was going on.
