Fall Fashions shake The Shak for D Moms

Tonight, D Moms magazine hosted a little soiree at The Shak (the younger, hipper, more affordable little sister to Stanley Korshak). D Moms editor, Joslyn Taylor, held court as the crowd enjoyed runway collections from Alica and Olivia, Helmut Lang, and Rag & Bone come down the runway (ie, middle of the sales floor) styled by the always hip and fabulous Bret McKinney.

Guests also sipped on a fabulous punch concoction from Solerno Blood Orange liqueur made with lemon and blood orange juice. Topped with fresh flowers, it looked and tasted amazeballs!  Snacks came courtesy of Bread Winners and everyone left with a copy of the new fall issue of D Moms magazine and a box of See's Candies.

It was an interesting crowd. I spied many of Big D's coolest Moms in the store. Among them OSC Contributors Jayne Herring and Dawn Mellon (who also writes for D Moms), August Rush, Cheryl Roseborogh and Kimberly Alexander. But 60% of the crowd was decidedly under 35 and most definitely not Moms. Curious.

The highlight of the night was the photo booth from photomadic. Because you never get to old for a party pic... evah!  Pick up the new issue of D Moms at grocery stores and newsstands everywhere.
