Lisa Petty and Arlene Goldstein discuss Fall Trends for Belk |
There's nothing better than a girl's night out. A little shopping, a few drinks, some great food... these are all elements that I require for a successful GNO outing and last Thursday, October 9 Belk delivered them all in spades when they hosted Girls' Night Out at their Galleria Dallas store. Lisa Petty, editor-in-chief of DFW Style Daily, hosted the evening festivities. The night kicked off with a fall fashion show moderated by Petty and Arlene Goldstein, vice president of trend merchandising and fashion direction for Belk. The runway show featured three “scenes” to showcase looks around Belk’s fall style statements: Rebel Rebel, His is Hers and Complex Simplicity. Among the stylish in attendance were Yvonne Crum, stylist and OSC Contributor Dawn Mellon, Sara Madsen Miller, LeeAnne Locken, Britt Harless, Small 4 Style blogger Alex Small, Holly Quartaro of Galleria Dallas, Yasmeen Tadia (CEO of Fluff Pops and Hot Poppin), The Fashion Hour blogger Natalie Keinan, Nicholas J. Carbone, Taylor N. Pierce, JoAnn Imosi Emale (Miss Earth Dallas) and Alyssa Alvarado (Miss Teen Earth Dallas). Guests signed up for a chance to win fun raffle prizes from designers such as Michael Kors, French Connection and Jessica Simpson. I shared my philosophy with Petty about how to win a raffle and she laughed at me - until I WON! I can't share it with you because if everyone used my theory, it wouldn't work for me anymore. Sorry! While I was pretty stoked that I won a fun statement necklace, I was really shooting to win the grand prize - a year's worth of free shoes! Since they said the winner would "be notified" there is no word on who the lucky winner was. Here is a glimpse at the scene:
