Park Place Dealerships Chairman Ken Schnitzer and Bentley Motors CEO Michael Winkler recently unveiled Bentley’s first ever SUV, the Bentayga. The Bentayga is the fastest, most powerful and exclusive and luxurious SUV in the world. As with all Bentley’s, the Bentayga will be handmade in Crewe, England, by third- and fourth-generation craftsmen who spend hours stitching, polishing, and refining to perfection the tiniest detail. While the car comes with a choice of four or five seats covered in a choice of 15 different hues of leather, plus dozens of combinations of exotic woods and brushed metal and carbon fiber trim, the true beauty of a Bentley is the Bespoke program, which offers the ultimate in customization. Currently on its North American Tour, this was the first and only opportunity for North Texas to see the vehicle until the 2017 Bentayga hits the market in mid-2016. Outfitted with a 600 horsepower, twin turbo, W12 engine, the Bentayga will go from 0 - 60 mph in 4.0 seconds and has a top speed of 187 mph. They are calling this a SUV, I'm calling this a $229,000 tricked up station wagon. Crazy. While it’s hard to imagine someone taking this vehicle off-road, it will certainly handle the most rugged terrain with 663 foot pounds of torque over a four-wheel-drive, eight-speed automatic transmission.
